This past Tuesday we had a Christmas party. It was the second to last class, but we had the party this class because a few of my students won't be able to make the last class. It was a really nice time. We sang Christmas hymns, and I shared the Christmas story after we had a little candle lighting, we exchanged gifts and we had Christmas cake (because that's what they do here in Japan for Christmas---cake).I think everyone enjoyed the time. Sudo Sensei announced that he wanted to continue the class as a Bible study in English to keep doing some practice of English. We were all encouraged that Sumiko said she would come for the Bible study. We are hoping and praying that Aya also comes. May God tug on their hearts and they be given the grace to answer His call, not just for the Bible class but also for the truth of His son Jesus. Please pray for them and the other students of this class.
Kyoko's husband has been in the hospital since I started this class. We would pray for him from time to time and ask how he is doing. She kept informing us that he was getting better and then she told us this last Tuesday that this week he was finally going home. Praise the Lord for how He hears our prayers and how this shows others of His love for us.
